FOMC Meeting Minutes
The US Federal Reserve will release its July meeting minutes at 21:00 MT time on August 16.
The Fed is one of the world’s most important central banks and its policy drives the majority of big Forex trends.
Last month the Fed didn’t hold a press conference, there was only a statement. It is thus not surprising that traders will want to know more about the policymakers’ views on the US economy and their further monetary policy intentions. If the minutes show the Fed’s hawkishness, the US dollar will be able to strengthen. Otherwise, the American currency will get under negative pressure.
